I think I'm getting the hang of this. Sort of. I have the first
five days' worth of Matthew -- basically four and a half chapters

    • recorded into their appropriate href="http://audacity.sourceforge.net">audacity projects. I'm
learning how to splice, as, well, I bobble now and again, or something
makes a sound, as my "studio" is hardly isolated. If you pay
attention to ambient sound you'll likely be able to tell when a
splice occurs, but I'm trying to keep them from being too jarring
and, well, I can only improve. :)

I've also encountered my first major complication -- winter sinus
problems. Oh well. I think it's still sounding okay. I have a
history of being too perfectionist about things to actually get
them done, but this is too important to me so it's going to get
made and I'll just learn to live with little imperfections. Builds
character, right?

Got to exchange some more email last night with Craig from href="http://www.godcast.org">GodCast but I'm not ready to tell
you everything we were talking about... a little suspense
is good for you. But he had many very useful suggestions as someone
who's been there and done that, and I pat myself on the back for
emailing him specifically to let him know about this project, since
I shudder to think what mistakes I wouldn't have avoided if I hadn't
gotten in touch with him.

Now I just have to figure out how I want to intro and outro these
things. Oh, and record at least ten more before the new year...
