This is it! Not only the end of the 20th chapter of Matthew, but the end of January and my first month reading for you. It has been educational and inspirational and fulfilling and I hope you've gotten as much out of it as I have. Which is not to say we're not just getting started! In February we'll finish Matthew (on February 17, to be exact) and get into the Gospel of Mark next. Please spread the word about The Whole Truth so the seed can go farther and wider! Well, here's one recorded with this cold I've had all week. Hopefully it will sound reasonably okay. I haven't recorded Monday's, yet, because my voice is still recovering so I'm stalling, and I hope to record some tomorrow. So much for my grand plans to record all weekend!

This is the last one I have recorded as of this writing. And my voice is mostly shot. What I'm telling you is that either I will have to miss a day and try to double up or something, or more likely, I'll record as best I can anyway. I should've arranged for someone like commenter Cindy to do a guest reading. :)

New hostname!
New hosting service! And old hosting service!

What am I on about? Thanks to an unexpected Christmas gift, I have the domain randomcasts.com, and have put it to use. Henceforth this site can be reached as twt.randomcasts.com, and I'll start referring to it as such in all future recordings. The old name still works; I didn't move the site.

EXCEPT...

I did move all the mp3s to the randomcasts.com site, hosted now on GoDaddy.com. Why? Bandwidth, friends! It's become cost effective to go with GoDaddy's lowest-cost plan, at least for serving up those (relatively) hefty mp3s, particularly if, as I always hope, more people choose to hear the New Testament by listening to The Whole Truth. So the blog part of the site's still here on NearlyFreeSpeech, but the mp3s have moved, and I've updated all the old posts to point there as well.

But the joy of podcasting is that not a thing I just said should disrupt anyone's service. Please let me know if any problems do occur.

Installment #20! Hard to believe it's been that many.

I should give you early warning that tomorrow's and the one after were recorded yesterday, cold or no cold, and may sound a little rough. It was the right thing to do, though, because much of today I had no voice at all, and spent much of it in bed. Oh well... I'm going to put off talk of the new hostname until tomorrow, I think.

Working on getting a new hostname squared away for the site (the current one will continue to work, regardless) but I suspect it hasn't propagated out, so I'll announce it probably tomorrow after checking to make sure it's working from various remote locations.

Yes! Despite still being sick and despite coddling my voice so I could preach tonight, I managed to get two more recordings done in the morning, and tomorrow's a holiday, so I see nothing stopping me from being solid until next weekend when I'll have loads of opportunity for recording.

Neat to think that yesterday's post was the end of the second week -- I was in no shape to realize it at the time so I can say "yay" now. Today, obviously, is the end of the tenth chapter, which also feels like a milestone of sorts. 15 podcasts! I'm starting to feel kind of established, even if it's only been a couple of weeks.

I've got a sore throat, which is kind of grim news, since I'm only a few days ahead of the curve, but I'll do what I can to keep at least this far ahead until I'm more sure of my voice. I'll have a weekend alone about a week from now and I should be able to record a bunch if all is well then.

One last thing and then I leave you in Matthew's "hands" -- the site was down a little bit today, for which I apologize; the hosting site had a full disk and well anyway we're back, obviously.

It's always a new adventure here at The Whole Truth! An American listener writes to tell me that the podcast client Doppler doesn't like my RSS2, and boy howdy, he's right. So I've upgraded to the latest nightly build of Wordpress, and -- I think -- crowbarred things back into the appearance I'd given them before, at least more or less. And if I'm really, really lucky, I haven't caused new problems! Thanks to the listener in question for pointing out the problem and thanks to everyone for being here.
